Sun Shades Lip Balms provide delicious SPF 15 coverage as well as vitamin E, jojoba oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax for well-pampered lips indoors and out. Available in Mountain Mint, Piña Colada, Vanilla Bean, and Sugar & Spice flavors.
I’ve used Burt’s Beeswax for years and until recently it’s always done it’s job. But lately I’ve started developing a light rash/constant chap on my lips.
This is when my step-mother suggested I try her favorite lip balm (Sun Shades Vanilla). After only one application, I’ve found true love! This truly is the perfect lip balm.
My rash/chap is gone, my lips have never felt more quenched and healthy. I’m a customer for life!
Thanks so much for creating such a perfect product – I will have to try your other products now too!!
I normally use Burts Bees and have since high school. (Since 2002) I’ve never found an alternative. I’ve tried everything from Carmex to Starburst flavored chapsticks, to natural ones, the egg shaped one that is popular right now and everything in between… I usually end up with just Burts Bees. I got my first Melaluca sun shades (vanilla) about 4 days ago and I love it. Its got a shine that Burts Bees never had. I probably wont be throwing out my Burt anytime soon, but I do like having an alternative.
Only downside is that when it gets warm (from my pocket–because lets be honest, i hate needing chapstick and not having it) it gets super soft. I suppose that is because of the natural ingredients, but It’s still no fun being excited for chapstick and smooshing a warm chunk all over your lip because its too soft/warm.
This stuff rocks! It’s not sticky, Greasy or oily… It’s perfect! It lasts a long time once applied and actually works for dry, chapped, cracked or burning lips… Don’t leave home w/o it!
I have very dry lips in the winter and the last few years it has gotten worse. None of the standard OTC balms gave me relief. The sun shades balms are wonderful. They last and I don’t have to reapply constantly. My lips feel their best in years.
On a side note, my almost 2 year old daughter fell yesterday and got a little cut in the corner of her eye in the crease. I washed it, but was reluctant to put anything on it so close to her eye. This morning I was putting lip balm on her lips and thought to try that on the sort of crusty looking scab. It worked great! This evening it already looks better and it is not dried out and cracking like I was afraid it would do.
Thank you so much Melaleuca for safe products for my family.
If you haven’t tried the new flavors of the SunShades Lip Balm you need too! I am in love with the BlueBerry Cheesecake flavor in Melaleuca’s Christmas catalog. It has an SPF of 15 and it is great for both the summer and I especially love it when skiing in the winter months! I use it every night before going to bed and I no longer have dry and chapped lips especially in the dry climate that I live in.
I am giving everyone a Lip Balm as a Christmas gift this year along with our gift size Renew Intensive Skin Therapy lotion!
This is the only lip balm I’ve found that I don’t have to constantly reapply to keep my lips moisturized. It works SO well and on the plus side, it kind tastes good (instead of waxy and gross like most balms).
