When I first tried this shampoo I couldn’t get it to lather up then I remembered that it was concentrated. I tried using less shampoo and using more water with it and my hair turned out so soft I couldn’t believe it. My grandson was wrestling with me that afternoon and he even commented on how soft my hair felt. Before my hair was thin and lifeless.Totally amazed.
I had trouble with the Sei Bella Luxury Moisture Shampoo. It doesn’t really lather, so I was using a lot to achieve a lather. And since I was accustomed to using a lot of shampoo for my long hair, anyway, I didn’t think this was out of the ordinary. Except that I had trouble rinsing it out, and it left my hair feeling greasy. My sister tried it with the same result. Then I tried using a lot less – A LOT. I mean, only like a quarter-sized dollop. And it didn’t lather, but it did get my hair clean. Once I got the amount right, I ended up with shinier, bouncier hair – a real feat for long hair! I now have a short hair style, and I ran out of the shampoo, but I still use a tiny little squeeze of the conditioner to get the curl. I love it.
Several of my friends are now buying Melaleuca. One would like to find a really good shampoo for her gray hair (she is 53, and it isn’t completely gray) Which shampoo should I recommend for her to use? Thanks!!
I have been a Mela customer since 2009 and love love love their products. I am having a bit of trouble with the shampoos though. I didn’t like the way the Affinia smells so I switched to the Sei Bella. I have fairly oily but long hair so I got the volumizing shampoo. My hair still seems pretty oily at the top so I usually wash the top twice, but now it seems super tangly at the bottom. Anyone have any advice on this? I just love the smell just not sure what to do for the oily top of my head. I’ve considered using the moisturizing on bottom half and volumizing on top, but even with volumizing shampoo it still seems to be fairly oily…

I’ve had the same trouble with my thick hair in the past. I now use the Sei Bella Leave-In Detangling Spray and wouldn’t go a day without it! It’s the perfect compliment to the shampoo and conditioner.
Here’s what I would do, I have very long hair to and it does tend to get oily. Watch the Sei Bella videos on how to’s for your hair. Also don’t condition your crown, focus on the mid section.
I switched to the Sei Bella line and noticed a difference overnight! I even ordered the incorrect one for my hair type – I should ordered Moisturizing vs Volumizing but even still, I noticed a positive difference. I can’t wait to try the proper formula for my hair (my fault for not reading up on the differences).

I really like most of the products from Melaleuca. This shampoo is not good for my hair at all. My hair feels like straw and my scalp is greasy. There is nothing luxury about it. In my opinion, the quality is not there.

I now have a new favorite product line!!! I have tried all kinds of haircare….and spent way too much money! I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the Sei Bella haircare. I always have good hair days now!! I highly recommend Sei Bella and also Affinia haircare-truly excellent products. I took the whole line of Sei Bella hair care products to my hairdresser to use on me when I got my hair done recently and she loved them. She even read the bottles to see what was in them and what they could do. Everyone in the salon came over to see what they were. My hair looks fantastic – even one of my brothers said it was so shiny and looked better than ever. If a brother gives a compliment – it must be good!
My hair has never been my crowning glory – until Sei Bella! The first thing I noticed was the shine – my color treated, baby fine, limp hair looked healthy and full. I use the Volume luxury shampoo and cream rinse, Soft Hold styling cream and Classic Hold finishing spray – that’s all I need for great looking hair!
I didn’t have a problem. I canceled my status a couple months ago and never heard a thing from them. I also just re-activated myself because I liked the products and it went through within hours. I wonder what happened with you.
This shampoo will leave your hair so greasy, do not buy.
Watch out when you try to close your account. I did and 3 months later Melaleuca is still trying to get me to pay $15 for a shipping charge that they shipped out stuff to me on. I refused the items so they got sent back, I had closed my account and my cc they had on file. But they will still try to send you your back up order and make you pay the shipping just b/c they won’t cx your account correctly. Watch out!
Lisa- I don’t know why you had such a problem as this is not at all typical. First, everyone has given great feedback on this hair care line! maybe you are using too much conditioner and not washing it out completely. Secondly, if you are unhappy and want to return an order, you will be fully reimbursed, minus shipping. If you decide to cancel your account, just go to wwwmelaleuca.com/your options and it will tell you how to do that. Very simple. This is a very ethical company with many exceptional products. Sorry you fell into the very small minority that weren’t happy, but nothing is for everyone.

I suspect you just used the wrong type of shampoo & conditioner and maybe used too much also. My hair has never been more beautiful and I have always had nice hair.
Also, you just didn’t follow the rules on how to cancel your account, I have had several people cancel and I help them do it right without any problem.
Melaleuca is the most ethical Company out there, and will cancel you if you follow the correct procedures. They don’t want anyone to have a bad experience because many people come back eventually anyway because they realize how great the products were.
I agree with Lisa and Barbara on this one. I have been using Melaleuca products for three months and the Sei Bella shampoo and conditioner are my absolute favorite. I have very long, limp, prone-to-oily hair and the condition of my hair has never been better. It is unfortunate that you had a bad experience, because I have been nothing but impressed with this company and their products.
Sei Bella Hair Care Line is Awesome!! I can truly can FEEL & SEE the Difference in my hair. I have some streaked hair which truly looks ALIVE when using Sei Bella. Not lifeless as it was before…. So Very Impressed!!
I’ve used the entire Sei Bella Luxury hair line and it makes my hair so soft and shiny. This is the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used in my entire life. This is huge bc I’m a black woman with natural hair (no relaxer) and my hair is moisturized and very soft. A lot of times you see woman with natural hair however it’s dried out looking and feels harsh. These products don’t use any sulfates, and every bottle has uv protection, color protection, sulfate free, anti-breakage, gluten free, paraben free and no salt. An amazing product.
